They say that dads are the hardest to shop for, but if we’re being totally honest, we moms are also hard to shop for.
As moms, we buy gifts for everyone else with joy each year. I know that I love picking out presents for my husband and children. Finding those surprise gifts that they didn’t ask for, but I know they’ll love, brings me so much happiness. I gleefully decorate my home every November (yes, I start early!) for the coming holidays and listen to Christmas music on repeat.
Then the dreaded question comes from my husband…”but Babe, what do YOU want for Christmas?”
It’s the deer in headlights look on my face that makes my husband laugh.
I think for months about the gifts I want to get my family. Just today, I bought a box of beautiful Christmas cards for our church members. However, I always forget about myself.
As moms, we always forget about ourselves.
Sometimes, the men in our lives need a little help when picking out our gifts. I’ve found that the easiest way to get something I know I’ll love is to give my husband a list of things that I like.
It’s a system that has never failed me! He feels relief knowing he won’t make a mistake and I know I’ll love whatever it is, too.

The softest leggings in the world
These are my favorite leggings. I have 3 pair; 2 black and 1 navy.
They are the “buttery soft” material. They are just like the lue-la-roe brand, in my opinion. I think they are even softer, but don’t tell a rep I said that! They are definitely cheaper, too.
Rose Gold Oil Diffuser
If you’ve been around my Instagram or Youtube long, you’ve seen this beauty. I’ve had this for just about 1 year now, and it’s used daily in my home. This essential oil diffuser is a beautiful yet useful item in my home. It changes color, or you can have it stay on one color if you’d like. This is the most gorgeous oil diffuser I’ve ever had, and it’s lasted the longest. I’ve even gifted this one to my sister before. It’s too beautiful not to give as a gift to a loved one (or yourself).
Paint By Numbers Set
I’ve come to really appreciate these paint by number sets. At under $15 a piece, these sets provide weeks of entertainment for me. I like to paint for 30 minutes or so in the evening and listen to an audio book. It’s very relaxing. When it’s finished, you can frame it and have a new piece of decor for your home. Apple Air Pods
I love my Air Pods! These were a gift from my husband last year. I use them when I workout, go walking, and even while I get ready in the morning. My favorite thing to listen to is audio books. I’m obsessed with audio books. Wether it’s a theology book, a book I’m pre-reading for my kids, or just a fantasy book, I’m always listening to something. These air pods are always near my side.
My Favorite Appliance: Dyson Cordless Vacuum
Not many women may want an appliance for Christmas, but I’m one of those women who loves practical gifts. This Dyson cordless vacuum has been a game-changer in my house. I love this vacuum! I’m always using it for cleaning the carpets, tile, car, and more. It’s lightweight and really cleans my carpet well. I’ve always burnt through vacuum cleaners in about 1-2 years, but this one has lasted for several years without issue. Highly recommend this one for moms. For reference, my home is 1600 sq feet and the battery life is plenty for my entire home plus.
I am on Audible daily. As a busy mom, I don’t have time to sit and read books. It’s just the stage of life I’m in right now. Instead, I listen to books on the go. I listen while I get ready in the morning, cook, clean, and travel around in the car running errands. I’ve been able to read so many good books I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to read if I hadn’t had my Audible subscription. With a subscription, you get free book credits every month, which allows me to get books for free with my subscription! It’s a win-win for me.
Reformation Bible & Highlighters
I have quite a few Bibles…okay I have a lot. I’m somewhat of a Bible hoarder. However, this Reformation Study Bible by R.C.Sproul is by far my favorite. Being my favorite theologian, I knew this would be a great buy for me already. I use this Bible daily, at home and church. I have learned so much through Sproul’s notes in this Bible. It has deepened my study immensely. There is a condensed version if you’d like a smaller one, however, for students of the Word, I recommend the full version.
The bible highlighters are my favorite brand, Mr. Pen. They are a gel highlighter and don’t bleed through the Bible paper. The colors are a beautiful pastel color pallet and look nice on the paper.
