First day of homeschool!
It’s my favorite day of the year! Okay, well one of them. It’s the first day of homeschool! Today is the day for new books, fresh supplies, and endless possibilities.

Traditions & A New Start
This year, I actually took our photos on time. Last year, I dropped the ball and our “first day of homeschool” pictures ended up being taken a few weeks late.
Whoops.
It happens. However, this year I wanted to make sure that I got it done on time. I ended up stressing out about it for weeks. Why? Because I’m a mom and we stress about silly things like that.
I made my kids a special breakfast, s’mores oatmeal, and we started our day.
Soft Start to Homeschool
This year, we did a soft start. What’s a soft start? It’s when you don’t complete all of your subjects for a while. You coast into the year with just a few subjects rather than the whole load.
I needed that this year.
It’s the first time we tried it, and I honestly really enjoyed it. I wasn’t ready to give up my summer just yet.
We’re in week 4 already, and we are just now starting all of our subjects.
